Registrar or Principal House Officer (Cancer Care) (Hervey Bay)Cancer Care Services, Hervey Bay Hospital (Other positions at Bundaberg may also be filled through this Recruitment process)We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Registrar/Principal House Officer to join our Cancer Care Services at Hervey Bay. In this pivotal role, you will provide support and care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, working alongside a team of specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient management. You will gain valuable exposure to a range of oncology cases, from diagnosis to post-treatment care, while developing your skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will be responsible for the day-to-day clinical care of cancer patients, ensuring they receive timely, evidence-based interventions & work closely with multidisciplinary teams.Your opportunity:The primary purpose of the position is to provide patient management supervision in the ambulatory setting of Cancer Care Services. This role will provide medical oncology services within the program of Cancer Care Services.Provide support for Medical Oncology patients in the Day Oncology Unit. Provide consultation services to clinical areas within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. Participate in ward rounds, clinics and meetings and undertake other clinical duties as required. Will be under the supervision of a Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist (Medical Oncology).Temporary Full Time (76 hours p.f.) from date of appointment for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension.Prior to being made an offer of employment, you will be required to demonstrate immunity to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).From 9th December 2019 all new employees will be required to be assessed for their risk of Tuberculosis (TB).Our offer:You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $175,370 p.a., comprising salary between $129,583 - $150,240 p.a., (L4-L9) employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%) and vocational training subsidy.How to apply:The Role Description and Information Package provide specific information on how to apply for the advertised position.
