Caterpillar Clinic is a private psychology practice in beautiful Cairns, FNQ. We have an awesome team of registered psychologists on site, along with fantastic administrative support. We have an excellent reputation in the sector and are a sought-after service for children and young adults needing psychological support.
We are seeking a newly registered or experienced psychologist passionate about working with children/adolescents and their families. You will be able to provide support for children/adolescents/young adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, gender issues, learning difficulties, neurodevelopmental disorders, etc. We can tailor your caseload to your area of interest and expertise! Your role will include:
Intake assessment and case formulation Direct session-based intervention using evidence-based approaches (ACT, CBT, DBT) Psychometric assessments and clear report writing skills to inform diagnostic recommendations Participation in team meetings and peer supervision Essential skills, experience & qualifications:
Registered psychologist Medicare Provider Sound understanding of contemporary, evidence-based approaches Capacity to work autonomously & as part of a team Strong communication skills Working with Children Check (Blue Card) Police Clearance NDIS Worker Screening clearance This position would suit a dedicated, energetic and engaging individual who really connects with children/young adults. You are a great listener and communicator, creative and engaging with young people all the while ensuring you're adhering to relevant, evidence-based theories and models of child/adolescent intervention. You enjoy working alongside other psychologists and sharing ideas and information to better the skillset of the team.

This is a well-remunerated salaried position, so no worries about sub-contracting and managing payments or finances. We take care of it all for you, so you can focus on the important parts. Pay: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
Schedule:
8 hour shift Monday to Friday No weekends Supplementary Pay:
