About The Role Full-time or Part-Time options available for a fixed term 6-month contract.
Up to 80 hours available.
The Secure Extended Care Unit is a Bed Based Mental Health Unit located in Ballarat, that specialises in the longer term care of consumers who require psychosocial rehabilitation in a 24/7 supported environment.
The successful applicant will be required to work a range of shifts including mornings, afternoons & nights as we are a 24/7 unit.
As a Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 2, you will be expected to work within your scope to provide evidence-based care to consumers and their carers as part of the multidisciplinary team.
Also support the NUM in the ongoing development of the unit as a whole.
The successful candidate will have Excellent interpersonal skills Leadership qualities Experience in the bed-based setting Great knowledge on less restrictive and recovery oriented care and the MHWA 2022 Post Graduate Qualification in Mental Health Nursing desirable

This position is paid in accordance with the Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement.
The classification is Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 2 (NP21 - NP26) which ranges from $36.10 - $46.38 per hour.
