About the Role
As a Registered Nurse at Port Augusta Prison, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality nursing services within a unique correctional environment. In this position, you will grow from a novice to a proficient level of practice, applying your expertise to support the health and wellbeing of incarcerated patients. You will work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team, consolidating your skills through continuous development while ensuring accountability for the care provided and the activities you delegate. About You
You are a compassionate and skilled nursing professional committed to delivering high-quality care in challenging environments. To succeed in this role, you will need:

Nursing Qualifications: You are registered or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or are eligible to hold, a current practising certificate.
Strong Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: With excellent communication abilities, you're adept at resolving conflicts, negotiating effectively, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Proven Nursing Competence: You bring demonstrated experience and competence in nursing practice, adhering to the highest standards of care and practice guidelines.
Knowledge of Healthcare Standards: You understand the scope of nursing within healthcare settings, including knowledge of relevant legislation, ethics, quality improvement systems, and professional standards.
