The Registered Nurse strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.
The Pool Registered Nurse: Nurses within the LGH Pool work across medical, surgical and specialty areas including paediatrics, neonatal nursery, maternity, ICU, ED and outpatient services.Support is provided to Pool Nurses by the Nursing Pool Leadership Team to assist them in developing their knowledge and skills in clinical areas.Pool nursing is a great way to gain experience in new areas and a valuable way for experienced nurses to progress their career.The Hospital: The Launceston General Hospital (LGH) is a 340-bed hospital and is the major referral hospital for the North and North West regions of the State.The Location: Launceston is located in the picturesque Tamar valley, home to a number of excellent vineyards, dining establishments and gourmet food producers.Launceston boasts an enviable lifestyle with relatively affordable real estate, stress-free commuting, quality education system and all the services you would expect.Launceston is one of Australia's oldest cities featuring Colonial and Victorian architecture, public parks and the stunning Cataract Gorge only a short walk from the CBD.Details of appointment: Multiple permanent full time and part time, shift worker positions (fully rotational), working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing on a mutually agreed upon date.

Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
