Location:Exciting opportunity for a Project/Research Nurse to join the Department of Health!
The Role: Manages and coordinates nursing and midwifery projects that contribute to the strategic objectives of the Department of Health (DoH). Responsible for undertaking robust research activities that contribute to nursing and midwifery policy or projects. Utilises a highly developed understanding of the nursing and midwifery professions and the healthcare sector to manage projects. Establishes and maintains consultative links internally within the Departments; with community and industry representatives; and other external stakeholders for the achievement of strategic objectives.
The Team: The Office of the Chief Nurse and Midwifery Officer (OCNMO) is a small, high performing, outcome focused team. The OCNMO provides strategic leadership and professional practice advice on a diverse range of issues relating to the nursing and midwifery professions. Our priorities focus on, but are not limited to, strategic planning, policy, workforce, research, education and training locally, nationally and internationally.
Details of appointment: Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of approximately six (6) months. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $111,506 to $118,336 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification typeBenefits available to eligible candidates: Professional development and accelerated pathways.Excellent leave benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible.Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
