Icon Cancer Centre are pioneers of private cancer care in Australia with over 35 years' experience. There are currently 40 cancer centres across Australia and a joint venture in New Zealand with several in development. These centres include a mix of dedicated medical oncology, haematology, and radiation oncology facilities, as well as comprehensive cancer centres that bring all services together under one roof, including research and pharmacy. Over half of Icon's cancer centres are in outer-metro and regional communities delivering on our mission to bring the best possible care, closer to home.

About the Role:
We have a new opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our team on a permanent full-time or part-time basis. Based at the Icon Cancer Centre at the Tennyson Centre in Kurralta Park, this role reports to the Nurse Unit Manager and Site Manager and is responsible for providing medical oncology nursing care to our patients. Our clinic hours are 8am – 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities: Contribute expert advice and demonstrate contemporary nursing knowledge and skill in oncology nursing practice in accordance with current legislation and professional standards and codes of practiceMonitoring and administering medication and intravenous infusionsPatient assessment, observation and education including expert management of treatment related side effectsInserting and care of peripheral and central access devicesAssisting doctors with procedures and providing pre and post procedure care and educationMaintaining and updating patients written and electronic recordsProviding emotional support to patients, families and carersSupport the Nurse Manager in the day-to-day operationsSupport a high-performance culture that delivers quality patient care services through a patient centric and collaborative approachAbout the person we're going to hire:

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
Hold current registration with AHPRA.Recent experience in Oncology Nursing is desirable but not essential and training will be provided as part of induction (surgical nursing also highly regarded)Demonstrate a commitment to the provision of exceptional patient care.Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.Demonstrate a commitment to the delivery of high-quality patient care and service.How to Apply:
