About Your Role The role of the Registered Nurse within the Mental Health units includes:
Providing high-quality evidence-based physical and mental health care to consumers, their families, and carers within a recovery and trauma-informed care framework.Providing safe, compassionate, person-centred care through assessment, risk assessment, care-planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary team.Effectively planning safe transfer of care plans in collaboration with the consumer, their family or carers, the multidisciplinary team, community mental health team (CMHT), non-government providers, and other agencies.A commitment to providing contemporary and innovative approaches to care.The Mental Health units recognize consumers with mental health issues as experts in their own journey and strive to provide an optimistic and positive approach to care.
