In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia.
This includes providing defence-ready clinical and support staff across 45+ on-base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.
About Puckapunyal
Puckapunyal Military Area is located approximately 13km west of Seymour. This was first used as a mobilisation and training area during WWI and by 1939, and was formally established in the early 1940s. It is home to the Headquarters of the Combined Arms Training Centre, Army Knowledge Centre and Schools of Artillery & Transport. The health centre services up to 4000 Defence members and provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, physiotherapy, dental, pharmaceutical and mental health. There is a 12 bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7. The standard operating hours are 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts). This role is night duty only.
Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse you will be responsible for providing quality clinical care to patients. You will develop and maintain patient care plans, liaise with the multi-disciplinary healthcare team to provide co-ordinated patient management, provide assessment of patients and co-ordinate outpatient and inpatient treatments.
To be successful in this role you'll have: The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Minimum of 12 months Post Graduate experience within the last 5 years in an acute care, primary health care, or military setting (or part-time equivalent).Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.Additional Information
