We strive to deliver holistic, individualized care to our residents while fostering a strong sense of connection within the community.Position Overview:As a Registered Nurse at Star of the Sea, Wallaroo, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care to elderly residents. Your role will be to provide holistic support that encompasses physical, clinical, emotional, and spiritual needs, promoting the well-being and quality of life for each individual under your care.You will collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team to meet the standards of care while ensuring dignity and respect for the residents.Key Responsibilities:Clinical Care:Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents, including monitoring, administering medications, wound care, and conducting health assessments.Implement and review individualized care plans to meet the physical and emotional needs of each resident.Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records in compliance with aged care standards.Act as an advocate for residents, ensuring their needs and preferences are communicated and respected.Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as required.Team Collaboration:Work closely with care assistants, doctors, allied health professionals, and families to deliver coordinated care.Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing and care staff, ensuring best practices are followed.Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members.Compliance and Quality Assurance:Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and organizational policies.Participate in audits, quality assurance initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.Safeguard the privacy and dignity of residents at all times.Holistic and Spiritual Care:Provide emotional and spiritual support to residents, working in accordance with the Catholic values and mission of the organization.Collaborate with the pastoral care team to address the spiritual needs of residents.Qualifications and Experience:Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.Minimum Bachelor of Nursing (required).Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in aged care, hospital, or similar healthcare setting.Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills.Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff.Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to elderly care.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.Understanding of aged care legislation, regulations, and standards.Ability to uphold and promote the values of the Catholic Diocese of Port Pirie.How to Apply:Please apply with your resume via the online portal.
