As part of the collaborative healthcare team at the Adelaide Remand Centre, you'll provide comprehensive nursing care based on best evidence-based practices. You'll support the medical management and healthcare of prisoners through thorough clinical assessments and the development, implementation, and management of individualized care plans.

Our team works on a 24/7 roster with a mix of 10, 8, or 6-hour shifts, including nights, offering variety and the opportunity to balance work with your personal life.

About you - your ideal skills & experience The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviourCurrent registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Relevant post-graduate qualificationsDemonstrated clinical experience in a primary health or acute setting, with previous roles in Justice and Correctional Settings being highly desirableExperience in conducting health assessments and managing patient care plansCultural awareness and the ability to manage and understand diverse ethnic backgrounds, customs, and contemporary issuesStrong communication skills with the ability to interact with various multidisciplinary team members and stakeholders, adapting your communication style as neededThis is a position of trust and responsibility and to support this we will conduct a thorough probity assessment, which includes a federal police check as an essential selection component for this role.
