Main duties of the jobAn opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join Gladstone ward based in Deeside Community Hospital. Deeside Community Hospital is a great place to work and feel part of a close community hospital team. The team enjoys a close working relationship and support from the hospital league of friends. A range of outpatient services also take place within the hospital site. Gladstone is a 20-bedded ward - escalated to 28. Both wards are supported by a Care of the Elderly medical team with Advanced Nurse Practitioner support and have additional support from therapies to develop agreed rehabilitation plans with patients, focusing on discharge to recover and assess. Patients admitted to Branwen and Gladstone wards are transferred either from acute hospital wards when medically fit or from the community to prevent the need for an acute hospital admission. Patients may require complex discharge planning, including the completion of long-term assessments. Working as part of the nursing team, you will have the opportunity to develop excellent skills in patient assessment as part of their recovery as well as a range of nursing interventions.
