No Late Nights.5 weeks Annual LeaveCompetitive hourly rateStaff Benefits, Reward and Recognition ProgramFree Undercover On-Site ParkingThe opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our team at the Icon Cancer Centre Windsor Gardens, with the opportunity for nursing across our radiation and medical oncology/haematology departments. This position will report to the Nurse Manager and will focus on the delivery of exceptional personalised cancer care to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities: Contribute expert advice and demonstrate contemporary nursing knowledge and skill in oncology nursing practice in accordance with current legislation and professional standards and codes of practiceMonitoring and administering medication and intravenous anticancer infusionsPatient assessment, observation and education including expert management of treatment related side effectsInserting and care of peripheral and central access devicesAssisting doctors with procedures and providing pre and post procedure care and educationMaintaining and updating patients written and electronic recordsProviding emotional support to patients, families and carersSupport the Nurse Manager in the day to day operationsSupport a high performance culture that delivers quality patient care services through a patient centric and collaborative approachAbout you: To ensure our cancer centre at Windsor Gardens delivers an exceptional experience for patients, their families, doctors and staff, we are seeking a candidate who consistently demonstrates values that are aligned to those of the organisation, has flexibility and a 'can-do' attitude. Experience in IV cannulation, knowledge of chemotherapy and supportive therapies is required.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience: 2 years recent experience in medical oncology/haematology and/or radiation oncology nursing (desirable only)Current AHPRA registration.Demonstrate a commitment to the provision of exceptional patient centred care.Advanced communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work autonomously and positively as a member of the multidisciplinary team.Must be vaccinated against Covid-19 with a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on ImmunisationCareer Development At Icon, we genuinely love seeing our nurses develop careers that bring joy and fulfillment into their lives.
