To learn more please visit www.serco.com/ahsc About the Role As a Registered Nurse – Health Promotion you will be responsible for providing quality clinical care to patients.
You will develop and maintain patient care plans, liaise with the multi-disciplinary healthcare team to provide co-ordinated patient management, provide assessment of patients and co-ordinate outpatient and inpatient treatments.
In addition to clinical RN tasks, the Registered Nurse - Health Promotion duties may include completion of routine health assessments and tests in accordance with relevant Defence Policies and Procedures, directives, instructions and Medical Officer recommendations, provision of lifestyle counselling to Eligible Personnel, and provision of acute, routine, and preventative nursing care including assessment, investigation, and appropriate interventions.
To be successful in this role, you will have: • The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
• Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Minimum of 2 years full-time Post Graduate experience within the last 5 years in health promotion (or part-time equivalent).
• Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
About Edinburgh Health Centre Edinburgh Health Centre is located 25km North of Adelaide, at RAAF Base Edinburgh.
This super-base accommodates 3500 personnel from the Australian Army and RAAF, as well as being home to the RAAF Institute of Aviation Medicine.
The health centre operates a 16 bed low dependency ward 24/7.
It also provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, dental, physiotherapy, mental health, pharmaceutical and rehabilitation services.
