We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join the team on Hynes Ward at Calvary Adelaide Hospital.
Hynes ward is a 30 bed acute surgical ward that focuses on the care of critically unwell surgical patients, including those undergoing bariatric surgery. Our multi-disciplinary team are committed to delivering high-quality compassionate care. This is a permanent level 1 role, reporting directly to the Clinical Manager.
Your key responsibilities will include:Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from complex surgical interventions.Monitor and manage the unique needs of bariatric patients, ensuring tailored support and interventions.Assist in the management of new stoma formations, including education on care and lifestyle adjustments.Participate in patient assessments, ongoing evaluations, and the implementation of evidenced-based practices.Collaborate closely with surgeons, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to create individualised care plans.What you bring:Experience in General Surgery nursing in an Acute Care Setting.Strong Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor a team towards achieving department goals.AHPRA Registration.Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently, and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity.Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills.A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation.For further information please contact Bree Alexander, Clinical Manager on ******.
