Exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join the Department of Health!
The Team/Role: This position is based within the Adult and Older Persons Community Mental Health Services North, a key area within the Department of Health dedicated to promoting the health and wellbeing of individuals across all life stages. Our services focus on improving the mental health and overall wellbeing of patients, clients, and their families within the Tasmanian community, ensuring access to sustainable, high-quality care that is both compassionate and effective.

As part of this, our team works to create an environment where innovative, evidence-based practices are integrated into everyday care, ensuring the highest standards of mental health support.
You will need: Ensure the delivery of a comprehensive clinical service through relevant assessment, recovery focused case management and other recovery or trauma informed services, including specialised therapies for clients and their families or carers.Coordinate the delivery of client care with multiple other support services including Residential Aged Care Facilities, Dementia Services Australia, General Practitioners, Community Older Persons Mental Health Team and Access Mental Health service in accordance with clinical standards, best practice principles and within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework.Actively participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team including the provisions of support and consultation to other team members as required. Actively listen to the perspectives and expertise of others, fostering mutual respect and understanding.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.
Details of appointment: Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $75,902 to $102,908 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
