A Certificate III in Sterilising Services is a mandatory requirement for this position and appointment to this position requires proof of qualification.
Applicants who can provide proof of actively and progressively studying towards completion of the Certificate III are encouraged to apply! The Perioperative Unit is located in West Wing of the Gladstone Hospital.
The Gladstone Hospital has two operating rooms and a procedure room.
Services include Elective and Emergency Surgery, Day Surgery, Pre-Anaesthetic, and Central Sterilisation Services Department (CSSD).
The Perioperative Unit provides clinical care through the development and maintenance of relevant and proven patient care standards involving ongoing research in clinical applications.
The CSSD unit is located in Block 2 of Gladstone hospital and has undergone a recent refurbishment.
About the role:The purpose of the role of Registered Nurse (RN) for CQ Health is to provide holistic person-centred care and practice within an interdisciplinary team environment.Demonstrate evidence of increasing autonomy and exercises greater levels of professional judgement in the clinical environment as the employee moves from a beginning to an experienced practitioner.Provision of nursing care that meets all relevant competency and professional practice standards relevant to the position.Integrate nursing and health care knowledge, skills, and attitude specific to interdisciplinary learning by supporting a learning environment and participating in learning activities/opportunities.About you:Mandatory qualifications/requirements: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is mandatory.
