Registered/Enrolled Nurse/ Anaesthetic Technician - Anaesthetics Sydney Southwest Private Hospital

Multiple Full-time positions, Part-time and Casual Opportunities available

Sydney Southwest Private Hospital is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic nurses to join our team of passionate professionals to drive Healthscope's high standard of patient care.

To succeed in this role, you will have the flexibility to work early or late shifts with on-call components.

In this role, you will work as an integral member of our team and ensure safe surgical outcomes are achieved, in line with core values and strategic direction of the department, Hospital and Healthscope Health Care.

As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include: Deliver evidence-based nursing care Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team Ensure patient and staff safety Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end of life needs. Providing technical and clinical support to the Anaesthetist during induction, maintenance and emergence from anaesthesia. Responding to unexpected outcomes and using problem-solving skills to respond to emergencies in the Perioperative department. Compliance with all legislative requirements in the workplace including occupational safety and health acts and workers' compensation. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. A minimum of 1-year acute hospital experience. Diploma of Anaesthetic Technology (or similar) qualification as an Anaesthetic Nurse or Technician. Current Registration with AHPRA Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards) Working with Children check (if relevant) Commitment to Quality Patient Care Compliance with ACQSHC National standards Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Works well independently and within a team Basic computer skills Applications close: Friday 24 January 2025
