They are looking to start expanding their team in NSW to meet the ongoing pipeline of projects.
The RoleYou will be a Registered Architect responsible for negotiating architectural drawings that represent the company's vision and overseeing the implementation of retail spaces within regulatory requirements.
This role requires a creative individual with strong technical skills and a deep understanding of retail environments, and experience in renovating and refurbishing design spaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional, ensuring that our needs and brand standards are met.
You will have a portfolio of work as an individual or as a team member that you can showcase to our client through the process.
Key Responsibilities:Design Development: Develop innovative and practical design concepts for retail interiors, convenience stores, and fuel stations that meet objectives and enhance the customer experience.Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that designs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.Technical Drawings: Create detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details, using CAD (Revit) software and other design tools.Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.Trend Analysis: Stay updated on the latest trends in retail design, sustainability, and technology to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including project managers, engineers, and interior designers, to ensure seamless project delivery of refurbishments, new stores, and renovations.Skills and QualificationsBachelor's or master's degree in architecture or a related field.3-5+ years of experience in retail design, with a strong portfolio showcasing work in retail interiors, convenience stores, and fuel stops.Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and 3D modelling tools (SketchUp, Rhino, etc.).Strong understanding of retail trends, customer behaviour, and brand strategy.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts to internal stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under tight deadlines.Knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and construction practices.Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Experience in sustainable design practices is a plus.Remuneration and BenefitsYou will be supported in your ongoing professional development.You will work alongside a growing team of highly skilled professionals who love what they do.You will have the opportunity to work with the organisation and be an integral part of its growth and success.You will be rewarded with an attractive, competitive remuneration package commensurate with your experience, on-the-job mentoring and training, health and wellness initiatives, and a career path progression plan.
The client office is based 10 minutes from the Adelaide CBD, and will soon have an office space in Sydney, but you will need to travel for this role due to its diverse project portfolio rollout and locations.
