We are currently recruiting for a Geologist with experience in underground coal who wants to take their geological capability to the next level and apply their skills to a wide range of geological challenges and opportunities.
As a member of the Centennial Technical Team, you will collaborate with skilled professionals across technical, development, and financial fields.

The Technical team is focused on providing high-quality technical support, developing our people, and optimising our assets with innovative 'out of the box' ideas to continuously enhance value.
This role is based at Centennial's Angus Place corporate office near Lithgow, with fortnightly travel to operational sites in the Lake Macquarie region.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager - Technical, your responsibilities will include: Peer review of existing site geological work and support of geological assessment for sites Providing oversight and governance of site and project geological structural models for the Centennial Life of Mine process Completion of geological tasks for mine project development including feasibility studies Providing general technical services assistance for sites including mentoring of geologists and graduates Providing geological support for government approvals including site operating approvals (e.g.
High Risk Activity Applications, Approval Modifications) Providing geological support to Centennial Exploration programs Centennial is offering: Permanent full-time position Attractive salary package Career development and training opportunities Salary sacrifice options Suitable candidates will have: Tertiary Qualifications in Geology Minimum 5 years previous experience working as a Geologist in underground coal, with operational experience Sound computer literacy skills and proficiency in AutoCAD and geological/geotechnical databases Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within team environments Strong work ethic and commitment to site safety, operational practices, and mine production targets Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal About Centennial Centennial Coal Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Asia's largest independent Energy Group, Banpu Public Company Limited.
