About the role The Regional Risk Manager will report in the Head of Cred Risk, joining the finance department within the Group Treasury function.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Action credit assessments for all customers within the region for credit limits up to $2m (within DOA) i.e. customers that owe Ampol up to $2m at any time. Review and negotiate customer contracts including bespoke contracts ensuring effective credit controls exist.  Management of allocated budget and approval of OPEX under the DOA. Provide advice to internal stakeholders to correctly manage credit risk, ensuring the appropriate balance between working capital constraints, revenue growth, long term profitability improvement and risk reduction is achieved.  Ensuring high risk customers are identified and plans are in place to reduce the exposure and protect Ampol's interest. Quality customer assessments, credit decisions (drive financial statement coverage) and credit limit control (within the region). About you In this role, you will have strong commercial acumen, influencing and negotiating skills.
Ability to communicate and influence across all levels of the Business, including internal and external customers/stakeholders. Ability to apply strategic thinking to customer issues and problems whilst mitigating the risk to Ampol. Significant financial analysis, strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
 Key skills and experience: Tertiary qualified in Accounting or related discipline CA or CPA qualified Extensive experience in corporate restructuring, credit risk management, or an accounting / finance based role in large organisation, bank or CA firm. Experience in insolvency or turn around highly desirable Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Our total remuneration is competitive.
