MAYDAY Recruitment are exciting to be partnering with a leading Australian organisation who are searching for a standout Accounts Payable Officer. We invite you to become a vital part of a dynamic finance team, driving excellence and innovation.
As an Accounts Payable Officer , you will manage supplier invoices, ensure accurate record-keeping, and timely payment processing while adhering to company policies and procedures.

The role:
Accounts Payable invoice processing; including payment of suppliers, purchase order creation and amendments as required Manage depositing of cheques and collection of petty cash Engage with internal and external clients and provide advice in relation to processes undertaken by the team Contribute to identifying opportunities for improving efficiency and effectiveness of work practices and processes Liaise with internal and external clients to answer account payable queries and provide advice in relation to processes undertaken by the team Provide support to all members of the Finance team when required and directed by the Accounts Payable Supervisor Adhere to all policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal processes Contribute to identifying opportunities for improving efficiency and effectiveness of work practices and processes
The ideal candidate
At least 3 years of experience in an accounts payable environment Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including accounting systems and Excel Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines Demonstrated experience in working within and contributing to a high performing team Experience in providing customer focussed services Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Good time management skills when dealing with multiple priorities
