The Role
The Regional Resource Manager is an out-posted position from Fleet Support Unit (FSU) National Office located in Sydney CBD and is critical to FSU-AUST business operations due to the following:
Accountable for the effective management of regional funding against priorities provided by National Office and the Regional Manager while providing advice and conducting all procurement activities for the region – both simple and complex.Responsible for the governance of all financial and procurement activities processed for the region in accordance with the relevant policy and procedures.Provide recommendations to optimise procurement activities within the region.Accountable for the development of the regional FSU annual budget in line with the overall FSU strategy, priorities and initiatives.Coordinate Plant and Machinery acquisition, sustainment and disposal activities at the regional level. About our Team
The mission of Fleet Support Unit – Australia (FSU-AUST) is to provide Australia wide maintenance repair, overhaul and technical services to NSSG/CASG and Royal Australian Navy, and by doing so also increase technical mastery of our personnel.
FSU-AUST is geographically dispersed across four states and made up of approximately 800 technical sailors and a small number of APS staff.

FSU maintains significant engineering facilities and capabilities, which are used to generate extensive sustainment cost savings to Defence.
These facilities and capabilities require elevated support in which the National Asset Coordinator will lead.
The position is a part of the National Office located in Sydney and comprises of approximately 40 team members headed by the Executive Director.

Our ideal candidate will have deep subject matter expertise and a strong background in Defence procurement policy and procedures along with knowledge of asset management.
You will display a high level of customer service skills and a willingness to work with the team to drive successful outcomes.

Security Clearance
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance of 'Negative Vetting 1'.
