About the Role
Continual growth has created an opportunity for an experienced Regional Mining Manager to join our team.
Reporting to the Mining Operations Manager, this role will be responsible for the performance of our existing projects through leadership of our Project Managers and high-level stakeholder management.
This role is a site-based roving 4/3 FIFO position across our goldfields projects.
An absolute commitment to team safety is a given in this role.
About You
Our new team member will be a mining professional - driven, clear in their career goals, a natural solutions seeker/problem solver, and leader.
Experienced in the execution of gold mining projects in Western Australia (required for this role) you will have a strong background in mining engineering and know what it takes to deliver great operational outcomes.
You will understand the importance of building great teams and be respected by those around you at varying levels.
Key Responsibilities
Ownership of performance for existing mining projects.
Stakeholder management of JV partners, clients, suppliers, etc.
Leadership and mentoring of Project Manager.
Providing support to the Mining Operations Manager with team build outs, strategic initiatives, and opportunity evaluation.
Managing any issues that escalate.
Working with stakeholders to increase future opportunities.
Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Managing budgets, cost control, and financial performance of mining operations.
Coordination with technical service leaders to ensure efficient project execution.
Monitor and analyze operational performance, implementing improvements as necessary.
Prepare and present reports on operational status, performance metrics, and project progress to senior management.
Qualifications and Experience
Unrestricted Quarry Managers Ticket Proven operational and management results in projects of various scale.
Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field preferred but not essential.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in mining operations with experience in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of mining equipment, techniques, and industry best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage budgets, costs, and financial performance.
Commitment to safety and environmental sustainability.
Proficiency in mining software and data analysis tools.
