Primary Purpose The purpose of the Regional Manager is to be responsible and accountable for the managing, planning and development of Qube Bulk's Mining Logistics Operations within their region to meet established Qube objectives, in particular HSE, Operational, and Financial.
Location: Brisbane Specific Responsibilities Manage the compliance of health, safety and environmental obligations and requirementsManage the compliance of all customer, quality assurance and documentation and procedural requirementsManage the development, implementation and execution of the Regional Business PlanProvide effective leadership and development opportunities to line managers and superintendentsManage the operating cost performance of the region, including the development and management of the budget and the achievement of agreed performance targetsAssist with future regional projects in terms of identification of the opportunity, operational design and execution plansLiaise professionally with customers, regulatory authorities and suppliers to promote Qube Bulk in a positive wayProvision of timely and accurate data input and reporting to the General Manager on the region's operational performance and business developmentProviding leadership and guidance to frontline leaders and operational staff best practice Willingness to travel to remote sites across AustraliaQualifications and Experience Broad knowledge of the Mining Logistics, trucking / bulk haulage /port sector with an in-depth knowledge of mobile fleet and associated equipmentOperations management experience in logistics/transport/mining services industryTrack record managing a business unit of similar scale, setting and delivering a budget, leading similar size team, negotiating an employee agreement, managing an operation safelyCommercial and contract managementBudget and business P&L accountabilityPrior Exposure to safety culture in resources/oil & gas & Logistics sectorsMinimum 5 years' experience managing and developing employees, ideally gained in a ports, Mining, logistics or heavy industry environmentDiploma in Business, Logistics or related area, equivalent or greaterStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of peopleAdvanced skills using Microsoft Office, Excel and Power PointAbility to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolutionAbility to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environmentAbility to work well within a small team environmentExperience managing multi-disciplined teams across a multiple sitesTeam management and leadershipIntegrityCommunication SkillsStrategic thinkingProblem solving abilityPlanningInnovative thinkingOn Offer: Competitive Salary with allowancesWe value diversity in the workplace and encourages applications from people of all backgrounds.We empowerour people to deliver exceptional results for our customers every day and pride ourselves in offering a safe and inclusive workplace.
