Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Leader to join our team at the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions. As a Regional Leader, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the development and delivery of our parks and visitor services in the Warren Region.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate the planned development and delivery of parks and visitor services in the Warren Region.Oversee Aboriginal joint and cooperative management under the South West Native Land Title (SWNLT) in the Warren Region.Ensure the department's obligations with regard to cultural heritage issues are managed.Selection CriteriaApplicants should address the following three (3) criteria:
Extensive experience in the provision of visitor services associated with the natural environment, including developing and implementing operational plans, management plans, and strategies.Substantial experience and competence in financial management and other management systems, including project management, risk management, and information technology.Extensive experience in effective management and leadership of teams, and in negotiating, communicating, and liaising with the community, media, and special interest groups.RequirementsTo be eligible for this role, applicants must have Australian citizenship, New Zealand citizenship, or Australian permanent residency status.
