Great opportunity for a Regional Injury Manager at our Melbourne Office, employed on a Full Time basis to oversee the workers compensation programs in VIC/TAS. The Regional Injury Manager will work within the Injury Assist Team and partner with our operational business leads to effect positive recovery and return to work outcomes for our people.
Key responsibilities of the role include: Workers compensation strategic planning
Assist with the development and implementation of workers compensation strategies for the ISS VIC/TAS business Ongoing and regular review of workers compensation strategies to ensure business objectives are being met Drive an effective partnership with our claim insurers to achieve positive recovery and return to work outcomes for our people and maintain premium liability. Operational activities
Provide expert claims and injury management support to the VIC/TAS ISS operational teams to enhance recovery and return to work outcomes Work with the HSEQ team to enhance safety/risk management Ensure claim activities of Injury Assist team are compliant with VIC and TAS regulatory authorities in each state Monitor service providers and liaise with our claim insurers to ensure services provided are reasonable Engagement
Work in partnership with National Workers Compensation Manager to ensure workers compensation strategic objectives are being met Engage with ISS managers and operators to develop effective claims strategies Interaction with our claims insurer and regulator as required, including audit participation and claim reviews Our Benefits: Values based positive company culture, with a caring and energetic team Flexible work arrangement Purposeful and rewarding work with a competitive salary Access to staff discounts with wide range of companies Ongoing learning and development opportunities Internal opportunities within our global organization Minimum Criteria: 5 years plus experience with early intervention, injury management and workers compensation processes Solid knowledge of the VIC and TAS workers compensation legislation and guidelines Allied health or other workers compensation tertiary qualifications Understanding of claims databases and business reporting Current drivers licence Good customer service and teamwork skills Strong attention to detail, communication and organisational skills Desirable Criteria: Self-insurance claims management experience Previous workers compensation management/team leader experience Previous Defence or military experience highly desirable To apply for this role please click on the 'apply' link and complete the online application.
