Overall Purpose of the Role We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join our global finance team based in Perth, Western Australia. This wide-ranging role is to act as a Financial business partner for Xodus' Asia Pacific (APAC) region, working closely with the APAC Vice President and Xodus Finance Director and as part of an integrated global finance team within a dynamic and fast-paced organisation. The role combines financial and statutory accounts, management reporting and financial planning and analysis (FP&A), as well as development of members of the finance team. This role attends key management meetings, interactions across various business functions, and works closely with sub teams across the Xodus business in Perth, Melbourne and Tokyo.
Partner with APAC business to support forecasting and the wider financial strategy. Prepare and issue monthly management account packs by set deadlines for the APAC region. Prepare and support quarterly forecasts and annual budgets. Prepare Statutory accounts and assistance with internal and external audits for APAC entities. Management of the APAC entities tax and statutory compliance. Assist the Finance Director with ad-hoc financial projects. Support APAC VP and divisional managers with financial and commercial matters as and when required. Support Project Managers with all aspects of management reporting, assist with tenders and proposal information when required. Coordinate tax advice for projects by consulting with external advisors when required. Support Commercial team with relevant insurances. Provide training within finance and to wider Xodus team as and when required. Oversee of purchase ledger function (supported by AP team in UK), ensuring creditors paid in timely manner. Oversee invoicing process and credit control (supported by APAC Project Administrators and AR Co-ordinator), ensuring DSO targets are met. Participate in business improvement initiatives such as supporting the role out and integration of new systems. Skills and Attributes Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with key stakeholders across the business. Agile business partnering and outstanding customer service etiquette. Value diversity, equity and inclusion and have proven ability in building a strong team culture. Able to collaborate effectively with team members, peers, supervisors and clients. Able to work independently and as part of a global team. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Strong business acumen, commercial awareness and reporting skills. Ability to work flexibly under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Ability to independently manage own workload. Qualifications and Experience CA/CPA qualification or equivalent with 5+ years of management or financial accounting experience. Supervisory experience (ideally within an AP or AR team) is beneficial but not essential. Experience with SAGE or equivalent. Willingness to work across international time zones.
