ESS manages all aspects of large-scale accommodation facilities or "villages" for remote workers, providing the essential comforts such as a hot meal, a clean bed, freshly laundered workwear to health and wellness facilities for those working away from home.
We are currently seeking an innovative and inspirational leader to join the ESS team in the role of Regional Executive Chef to work across our flagship 4 village portfolio in Central QLD. This role will report to the General Manager Culinary and is responsible for driving the ESS food philosophy through the business to a wide range of people; from our chefs and cooks to our catering attendants and managers, you will have the ability to tap into their unique talents and motivate them to take the business from good to great in quality food and service delivery. In addition to this, your passion will drive you to develop culinary talent and capability, continuously seeking out innovation to incorporate on-trend food solutions.
The Position Ensuring compliance with all catering requirementsDriving regular and sustainable improvement in our catering performanceConducting regular interactions with all levels throughout our villagesOn the ground support to all Head Chefs throughout our portfoliosTraining and development of identified talent within the organisationEnsure we deliver high quality catering and support services to our clientFostering a high-performance culture through continuous improvement and innovationImplementing new food processes and procedures across the business Remuneration: $125-135K including SuperThe Person Experience in Site Based Head Chef or Executive Chef positions across high-volume catering environmentsStrong and decisive leadership skills with ability to engage stakeholdersAbility to identify and implement new innovations within the catering management spaceExperience introducing new operating methods, effectively bringing people along the journey.Experience in managing multiple stakeholder relationships, throughout large organisations Roster and point of hire is flexible, for the right candidate. This position however, will require consistent travel to sites. Your passion for exceptional customer service, genuine commitment to safety and strong people management skills are essential for you to succeed in this role.
