We're looking for a transformative Regional Director, who can:
Grow DPI's business identity, reputation and service culture through high level representation, engagement and negotiation with key government, industry and community stakeholders.Lead the delivery of consistent high-quality services and priority initiatives associated with the Queensland Government and DPI's Rural Economic Development services in South region.Drive collaborative and constructive partnerships across government, industry, commercial and community stakeholders to create the conditions for sustainable diversification and growth of agricultural value chains.Lead DPI's regional natural disaster planning, preparedness, response and recovery initiatives in a region, while also supporting emergency management governance frameworks, broader emergency responses and recovery as required.As our Regional Director, South, you will: Lead the delivery of consistent high-quality services and priority initiatives associated with the Queensland Government and DPI's Rural Economic Development (RED) program in South region, while also supporting improved cross-regional coordination and a consistent state-wide approach.Provide high quality strategic analysis, leadership, advice, and support to the Minister, Director-General, Deputy Directors-General and Executive Management of DPI and other government agencies, to enhance the delivery and impact of DPI services and government priorities.Drive collaborative and constructive partnerships across government, industry, commercial and community stakeholders to create the conditions for sustainable diversification and growth of agricultural value chains.Grow the Queensland Government and DPI's business identity, reputation and service culture through high level representation, engagement and negotiation with key government, industry and community stakeholders.Lead DPI's regional natural disaster planning, preparedness, response and recovery initiatives in a region, while also supporting emergency management governance frameworks, broader emergency responses including pandemic (COVID-19) management and recovery as required.Lead a financially sustainable workforce by implementing a fit for purpose regional organisational structure to deliver key outcomes effectively and efficiently within agreed budget allocations and achieving performance and reporting targets.Through strategic stakeholder engagement, establish and maintain Regional Economic Development priorities and implementation of major projects on behalf of the department within a region.Perform other tasks as directed by the General Manager RED, Director-General, Deputy Directors-General and Executive Management of DPI.Be prepared to operate outside of normal working hours, including on weekends and public holidays.Be available to travel when required.What we are looking for We are seeking the best suited candidate for the role.
