Regent Motors Group is a privately owned network of motor vehicle dealerships and affiliated businesses. We employ over 850 personnel across 22 motor vehicle dealerships on 13 sites in WA and the NT.
The Opportunity We are currently seeking expressions of interest from operationally focused Financial Controllers looking to embark on their next career adventure and take on their next challenge. The successful candidate will have the attention to detail and intellectual horsepower expected of a dealership Financial Controller accompanied by the communication skills of an accomplished people manager. You will work alongside the Dealer Principal to execute growth plans, and department managers to maximise financial outcomes for their operations.
The Role Given the seniority of the role, prior Financial Controller or Senior Management Accountant experience is considered essential. You will be the right hand to the Dealer Principals and your strong analytical capabilities and ability to derive insights out of detail will make you a key part of the decision-making process. With a direct link through to the corporate office, you will be a key person both on site and in the group's Financial Controller team.
Key Responsibilities Overall responsibility for day-to-day management of the dealerships' financial transactions Overall responsibility for timely and accurate month end and year end accounting requirements required by the corporate office Daily cashflow management Compliance with all statutory taxes – payroll, stamp duty, GST, income tax Expense and Balance Sheet control focus in the businesses Key support to Dealer Principal to drive growth and improvement through business and data analytics Active member of the dealerships' management teams Key Requirements High energy individual with a desire to help others achieve Attention to detail with high standards in maintaining integrity of financial processes A proven ability to provide data driven insights and assist others improve operational performance Excellent communication and interpersonal skills CPA/CA qualification (desirable although not essential) A remuneration package commensurate with the position will be discussed with the successful applicant.
