Our Insolvency team is expanding, and we're seeking skilled accountants to join us in providing exceptional service across a wide range of corporate insolvency and restructuring assignments.
Role Overview We are looking for motivated Intermediate through to Senior Managers with a strong background in corporate insolvency. As an Insolvency Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of insolvency cases, including, but not limited to, Voluntary Administrations, Liquidations, Receiverships, and Small Business Restructures.
Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of corporate insolvency engagements. Supervise and guide junior staff on tasks and responsibilities. Conduct financial investigations and prepare detailed reports. Liaise with directors, creditors, and external professionals (lawyers, financiers, etc.). Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and meet relevant deadlines. Oversee asset realisation and the recovery of funds. Attend interviews with directors and creditors to gather necessary information. Prepare and review financial models and other financial analysis. Identify and resolve complex accounting issues as they arise. Contribute to the growth of the business through strong business development and client relationship management. Candidate Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or Accounting (or related field). Minimum of 2 years' experience in corporate insolvency. CAANZ or CPA qualified (or working towards qualification). Excellent understanding of relevant statutory requirements and insolvency laws. Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and work within tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team environment. Experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff is highly regarded.
