We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Control Systems Technician to manage all Distributed Control Systems and Programmable Logic Infrastructure and software across our clients mine site located in Northern SA. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technician looking for long-term career growth within a supportive, safety-focused environment.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities In this role you will:
Comply with our clients requirements for Health, Safety, Security, and Environment in accordance with company policies. Lead and assist in the development and maintenance of DCS and PLC infrastructure and operational software for all necessary operational control/surveillance hubs within the minesite Operations. Investigate, develop, lead, and drive innovative PLC and DCS opportunities to improve process and production efficiencies. Comply with responsibilities as defined by the clients safety, environmental and radiation policies, and procedures as well as all other Client policies, standard operating procedures, and protocols. Provide Project Management and technical input into the development of new projects and upgrade projects for site facilities, this will include requirement for input into design and review. Develop and manage critical spare parts inventory to minimise potential for extended shutdown periods. Ensure that work processes deliver results, focusing on standards and setting up controls to monitor details and progress. Skills and Experience Skills and Requirements:
Diploma in Electrical Engineering Appropriate experience and/or qualifications in PLC and DCS. Current Drivers Licence Qualified Trades person as an "A" Class Electrician - Highly Desirable PLC knowledge (Schneider M580 preferred), SCADA and DCS (Yokogawa Centum 3000 and VP) - Highly Desirable Candidates with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders to elicit and understand their requirements in order to deliver high-quality outcomes will be highly regarded.
