This recruitment pool will run for a period of 12 months and may be used to fill ongoing fixed term contracts and permanent opportunities.
Currently, there is one (1) permanent position available for immediate filling.

About the role The Recreation Officer develops recreation programs, which will provide a maximum opportunity for prisoners' participation and utilisation of recreation facilities and as far as possible, cater for the whole spectrum of prisoners' interests including programs suitable for women.
Programs should be developed with an opportunity for prisoners' input in order to promote a sense of responsibility, motivation of recreation interest including arts and crafts or cottage industries type of activities and a degree of self-management, which is consistent with Departmental recreation policy.
The office holder is responsible for developing and implementing a program to instruct women on wellness and healthy lifestyles.
Minimum Requirements To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.Possess a current valid manual class "C" motor vehicle driving licence.Possess a current valid Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) accreditation (or equivalent e.g.

Pool Recruitment This pool will be open for a period of 12 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes.
Permanent, fixed term, full time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
