About the Role The Receiving Supervisor drives and leads the Receiving team to ensure shipments are unloaded safely from manufacturers and the Production team have the raw materials required for building. As a supervisor, you will ensure the safety of yourself, and your team as your first priority. The Supervisor is enthusiastic, solutions focused and carries a strong work ethic. They will directly report to the Operations Manager-in-training and will coordinate the receipt of schedules and priorities with the assistance of Sales and Procurement teams. The key responsibilities are management of incoming deliveries and bulk goods storage, loading stock into NetSuite and maintaining reports. The objective of this role is to ensure stock is stored correctly in warehouse facilities and systems, to allow smooth flow of Operations and achieve KPI's.
Key Responsibilities Lead the Receiving team to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of the warehouse facility Manage the maintenance of receiving operations and inbound of materials for the Production team Receive and store goods according to procedures across warehouse facilities Safe utilisation and maintenance of lifting equipment and machinery including forklifts, high rise picker Ensure processes and procedures are working efficiently and effectively Appropriately train new hires according to department procedures/processes Maintain standard operating procedures Lead best practice safety activities Use of NetSuite for recording and reporting purposes Remove and dispose of excess packing materials Quality control activities Restocking product bins Maintaining schedules and cooperating with relevant teams to provide information as requested Participate in all warehouse duties as required Required Skills and Qualifications Essential Minimum of two years industry experienceForklift truck license EWP license Ability to multi-task and work within a fast – paced environment Proven people management and leadership skills Strong and effective communication skills Attention to detail and quality focus Basic knowledge of computer Capable of analysing information Physical capability – able to lift 16kg Able to stand for an extended period Delegate work appropriately and ability to work within a team Desirable Experience in architectural hardware industry Product knowledge Experience with NetSuite Benefits and Perks: Opportunity to develop and add value to a long standing and growing business.
