Right now, we are experiencing rapid growth and are seeking bright and energised Subcontract Project Manager to join our growing Combat System Support Agent Team.

The Role This is an exciting new career for an experienced Subcontract Project Manager, where your people management and leadership skills will see you providing management advice and service to support our Combat System Support team and two subcontractors located in Australia and overseas (Europe). The subcontractors supply major systems for the Hobart Class Destroyers for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).
These systems require ongoing update, upgrade and upkeep to keep them operational and available as required.
The Subcontracts Manager will build strong working relationships with the subcontractors to ensure Raytheon Australia, the RAN and the subcontractors get what they need from the arrangement in the agreed schedule and budget.
This role will work closely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain effective relationships to deliver strong outcomes.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Maintenance, Logistics, Business Management or other relevant discipline, or equivalent experience. At least eight (8) years prior relevant experience in a same or similar role. Requires advanced to expert knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics within the work area. Requires substantial knowledge of projects, programs, or systems relevant to the business to provide enhancements. Experience in the establishment and management of integrated schedules, with relevant experience in strategic planning and ability to identify conflicts and priorities at varying levels of complexity. Proven experience in complex program management including but not limited to managing complex lines of communication with customers and stakeholders, managing variable backlog or schedule with compounding interactions that create frequent utilisation challenges. Strong understanding of EVMS principles. Australian Defence Contracts (AUSDEFCON) style contracts experience. Understanding of Australian Industry Capability (AIC) requirements. Knowledge of complex combat system technologies to enable a reasonable understanding of the products being supported. Ability to interpret, understand and modify contract Statement of Work documents and associated attachments. Ability to influence both the subcontractors and Raytheon Australia's leadership to facilitate mutually beneficial arrangements. Eligible to obtain and maintain a NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
