Raw Material Warehouse Supervisor

Reporting: Warehouse Manager
Location: Maitland

Purpose:
The overall purpose of this role is to:

Supervise warehouse staff and activities in the Maitland raw material warehouse.Ensure stock accuracy and integrity is properly maintained.Ensure warehouse processes and procedures are fully complied with. Key functional duties: Lead and manage the warehouse team.Coordinate the operation of the raw material warehouse functions.Manage the warehouse environment in terms of housekeeping, safety, hygiene and security.Implement stock control best practices / processes to ensure inventory accuracy.Monitor and evaluate daily employee performance to provide data support for performance assessments.Ensure employees understand and comply with policies, procedures and expectations.Generate and review operational reports / statistics.Perform administrative duties as required.Perform incident investigations. Required Knowledge & Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and customer service skills.Excellent administration skills.Proactive nature with good business sensibility.Strong multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced working environment.Own transport. Required Education/ Experience: Matric plus relevant tertiary qualification (National Diploma / Degree).A minimum of 3-years' experience in a Warehouse Supervisor role, preferably in a food processing environment.Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (Syspro).Computer literacy - Office 365. Personal Characteristics: Ability to earn the respect of and lead your team.Good time management.Ability to work independently and take initiative.
