About the position Reporting to the Team Leader Finance Transformation, Customer & Rating, the Rates and Accounts Receivable Officer's role is responsible for providing guidance and assistance to our customers, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions and maintaining the integrity of our financial records.
Key responsibilities including but not limited to:
Maintain the property database by processing of change of ownership from agents and owners. Processing Lands Titles Office reports and other updates to ownership Responsible for Council's Account Receivable function Maintain and process direct debits and payment arrangementsProvide excellent customer service when handling queries Provide reporting to stakeholdersMonthly General Ledger reconciliations for rates and debtor accountsRates and Accounts Receivable Position Description About youExperience in a customer service/finance role with a sound understanding of rates and debtorsAbility to apply initiative and problem solve on issues encountered in day to day activitiesExcellent communication skills and someone who enjoys being part of a teamAlthough not essential, previous Local Government experience would be highly regardedAbility to pinpoint opportunities for improvement and streamline processes for maximum efficiency.Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical and police check. Salary range is between $89,231 - $95,173 plus superannuation guarantee and will be negotiated commensurate with skills, experience and qualifications.
