Parks Victoria is looking for a Ranger to be part of a fantastic team to develop and manage the new Suburban Parks!
Opportunity to work in a diverse teamHealthy work-life balanceWork in the exciting new suburban parksAbout the role: As a Ranger, you will undertake activities requiring a level of environmental and service expertise and the position will be accountable for personal performance. You will work in a team environment; your day-to-day tasks will range from visitor experience to hands-on environmental work. Your core duties include stakeholder management (contractors, volunteers, internal stakeholders) and works including pest plant and animal management and park asset maintenance.
We're looking for someone with: Experience in customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated experience in self-management and supervisory skills.Relevant level of knowledge of regulations and compliance procedures.Practical experience in field-based work, use of power tools/hand tools, maintenance, and operation of small equipment such as chainsaws/brush cutters.Your application will need to include: A current ResumeApplication Closing date: Sunday, 05 January 2025
About the Branch: The Suburban Parks team has an exciting and challenging future with the development and maintenance of 1000 hectares over three Park areas. These Suburban Parks are rich in cultural heritage and biodiversity values that are a major focus for the team at Parks Victoria.
