Salary Range: $58,338 - $78,057
Seeking a dedicated and motivated individual with a keen interest in grassland management and community engagement to join our Western Melbourne team as a Ranger.
Experience a positive work and life balance in a diverse roleBecome part of an experienced and supportive teamWork at the forefront of conservation and community engagement within an urban growth areaThis role will coordinate events and bookings across Keilor Plains South. This role will support delivery of funded and established environmental works programs, principally weed and revegetation. You will be a primary point of contact for established friends groups and new and emerging community groups to foster, support and facilitate works within parks which align with our management goals and strategies.
The role will conduct preliminary cultural assessments regularly following Parks Victoria's procedures and assist staff in asset monitoring and maintenance. The role does include an allocation of rostered-on weekends.
We're looking for someone with: A tertiary qualification, Certificate or Diploma in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management or equivalent experienceDemonstrated experience in self-management and supervisory skillsDemonstrated experience in customer service, communication, and interpersonal skillsIt is highly desirable to have field research or bush crew experience in grasslandsYour application will need to include: A current ResumeApplication Closing date: Sunday 30 June 2024
