Ward Clerk – Protea Ward
Peninsula Private Hospital, Frankston
The Opportunity
This position will see you providing reception and administrative assistance to our Protea Ward, which is a 30-bed mixed medical Surgical Ward. This is a permanent full time role where you will be the first point of contact for enquiries and visitors on the ward.
Your responsibilities will include:
Admission and discharge processes to ensure appropriate bed management and utilisation Managing incoming and outgoing calls to the centre Provide timely and accurate information to queries by patients, visitors and other staff and departments Work alongside medical staff, colleagues, patients and visitors to ensure a smooth hospital experience for patients Compilation and management of patient admission papers, medical records, clinical notes and specific paperwork Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service focus Intermediate-advanced skills utilising the Microsoft office suite with ability to maintain data entry accuracy High level time management and organisational skills Certificate in Medical terminology highly regarded A professional and personable disposition Ability to work within a team environment and multitask Willingness to learn and the ability to grasp concepts with ease Previous experience in a hospital administration position or other medical secretary position desired but not essential Previous experience using Patient Information Systems (i.e. Meditech) Previous experience using hospital mainframe systems (Desirable) Requirements
Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases To Apply
