Rail Infrastructure Technical Specialist (2IC) - 12 monthsThe iconic West Coast Wilderness Railway is looking for a "hands-on" Rail Infrastructure Specialist to work across both field-based and administrative functions.Our narrow-gauge heritage railway spans a distance of 35km and runs through remote, cool temperate rainforest between Queenstown and Strahan on Tasmania's West Coast.Key Responsibilities include:Contribute to the development and review of asset plans, training and procedures to align with business and regulatory requirementsProvide technical and engineering supportSupport the management of internal and external rail-related auditsCarry out inspections of rail infrastructure identifying risks and mitigationDirect and support external contractorsContribute to the efficient and effective delivery of a safe, reliable and enjoyable experience for guests.To be successful in this role, you will have:Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships and work productively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.Highly developed analytical skills and experience delivering practical solutions to risk and compliance management.Proven experience in delivery of rail infrastructure maintenance, upgrades and renewals.Previous experience preparing clear and concise reports, plans and briefings of technical and non-technical materials suitable for a diverse audience.Category 2 Rail Safety Worker Health Assessment (ability to obtain) and sufficient fitness to satisfy the physical and outdoor requirements of the role.Competence in the use of computer systems, database and common software applications.Valid driver's license.The WCWR offers a unique experience to all our employees.
