We are currently looking for a: Food & Beverage SupervisorAbout the role: The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations, safety, cost, profitability, and direction of the Food & Beverage Department.
Roles & Responsibilities: To effectively lead the Food & Beverage team, that includes Food & Beverage Team Leaders and Food & Beverage Team Members.Ensure the seamless execution of all Food & Beverage outlets.Complete relevant paperwork to maintain correct record keeping processes.Conduct training and assess competency of Team Members to assist in team development and training.Be a hands-on supervisor, by taking charge and leading all areas including food preparation, kitchen operation, runner, and counter service.Always ensuring exceptional guest service, with a focus on friendly service, minimising wait time and queue time.Demonstrate knowledge of services and products and seek promotional support from the Sales & Marketing team as required.Ensure the Food & Beverage Outlets are professionally presented, including displays, whilst maintaining stock levels.Ensure systems, processes and practices are in place to enable team members to effectively discharge their roles.Partake in decision making around all elements of the food & beverage team including stock assortment, pricing, ordering and stocktake.Report any issues that may affect the food & beverage department operations immediately.Assist with rostering of staff shifts.Review, check accuracy and sign off on staff timesheets.Supervise the food & beverage team to ensure all operations are performed whilst maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of all service and products.To be a Food & Beverage Team Member as required.Responsible for assisting with area cleanliness including sweeping, rubbish pick-up, emptying bins and work areas.To carry out all duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Food & Beverage Coordinator, Food & Beverage Manager, General Manager, or member of the Management Team.Workplace Health & Safety (WHS): Follow and comply with Work Health Safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.Correctly use all safety and personal protective equipment.Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours.Report WHS incidents, injuries and safety activities to your direct Manager and First Aid at the time it occurs.Promote proactive hazard/ near miss reporting. Report any hazards or near-miss incidents to your direct Manager and the People & Culture Director.Attend Work Group Meetings to discuss and promote safety.Requirements Languages: Fluent English
Skills: Excellent written and communication skills.Leadership skills.Excellent Customer service skills.Be able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.Analytical problem-solving skills.Ability to interact in a professional and positive manner.Ability to motivate the team.Organisational and time management skills.Ability to plan, prioritise and organise work, both on an individual and team basis, within a set timetable and in a team environment of change and competing demands.Experience: Previous experience in training and advising others.Experience in Food & Beverage Sales.Intermediate computer skills, with competency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point).Experience in point-of-sale systems.Experience in scheduling and rostering management.Relationships Internal: General Manager / Facilities / Finance / Retail / Operations / People & Culture / Guest Experience/ Sales & Marketing.
External: Guests / Contractors / Suppliers / Business Partners.
