About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Radiochemist (Band 5) or Senior Radiochemist (Band 6) to join our client's team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the research, development, and provision of radiopharmaceuticals, contributing to advancements in nuclear medicine treatments and biological investigations.

Position Overview: Radiochemist (Band 5): Conduct research and development in radiochemistry to support the provision of radiopharmaceuticals.
Develop and optimize radiopharmaceutical production methods.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve research and commercial outcomes.
Prepare experimental work, analyze results, and contribute to scientific publications and presentations.
Senior Radiochemist (Band 6): Provide technical and scientific leadership in the development and provision of radiopharmaceuticals.
Lead capability development programs and novel radiolabelling technology projects.
Supervise and train early-career radiochemists.
Coordinate nuclear medicine projects and collaborate with clinical, commercial, and academic partners.
Prepare and present technical reports and scientific papers.
Key Responsibilities: Radiochemist (Band 5): Support routine production and development of radiopharmaceuticals and radioisotopes.
Develop radiochemical automation and radioanalytical measurement methods.
Maintain and manage radiochemistry facilities and equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards.
Build professional networks to secure collaborative research opportunities.
Senior Radiochemist (Band 6): Lead the development and optimization of radiopharmaceutical and radioisotope production.
Provide expert advice and leadership in radiochemistry projects.
Manage laboratory quality, regulatory, and safety requirements.
Publish research findings and present at national and international fora.
Maintain and develop productive relationships with collaborators and partners.
Qualifications and Experience: Radiochemist (Band 5): PhD in radiochemistry, chemical research (organic, inorganic, synthetic, medicinal, or analytical chemistry), or pharmaceutical sciences.
Experience in synthetic chemistry and radiopharmaceutical development.
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
Proven track record of scientific publications.
Senior Radiochemist (Band 6): PhD in radiochemistry, chemical research, or pharmaceutical sciences.
Extensive experience in radiopharmaceutical and radioisotope production and development.
Demonstrated leadership in managing radiochemistry facilities and projects.
Strong publication record and experience in scientific presentations.
