We look for specialists with a talent for big picture thinking and attention to detail engineers with the knowledge and knowhow to apply technical theories and concepts and deliver real-world solutions.
The successful applicant will become part of an innovative and exciting project to establish Electronic Warfare training ranges in Australia to support the ADF and will: Provide engineering solutions including design, analysis, implementation, test and lifecycle support of the safe and secure delivery of MTTES components, modules and subsystems.
Develop system change proposals using the change management processes and conforming to relevant quality management and Australian Standards.
Support operational MTTES systems regarding production and support of maintenance procedures, supporting system troubleshooting, requiring liaison with Operations & Maintenance staff.
Work with a variety of RF communications aspects including antenna co-site analysis, RF coverage analysis and radiation hazard analysis.
The person: A tertiary qualification (4 year engineering degree) and a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience in RF communications design within a process driven engineering environment.
Prior experience with ICT-networked RF communication systems.
Willingness and ability to travel to regional and remote locations to perform small team/independent work.
Demonstrated experience with managing the safety & risk assessment process and addressing risks through system safety design practices.
Eligibility for a security clearance at a level of Negative Vetting Level 1 with the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
