An exciting opportunity exists for the Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist (ROMP) – Senior to provide a high level of scientific and technological expertise for the delivery of safe and accurate Radiation Oncology (RO) treatments in accordance with Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) and Queensland Health goals.

The Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist – Senior requires low levels of supervision, provides training to registrars, new staff members and other professional groups within the RO department.
Key Responsibilities include:
Display a high level of knowledge of Radiation Oncology Medical Physics.Display a high level of independence in decision making and professional judgement for the planning of non-routine radiation treatments.Apply independent judgment to routine clinical practices in line with scientific principles.Maintain the high levels of inverse plan treatments delivered at SCUH through the use of efficient patient specific QA practices.Remuneration value up to $12,731 p.m., comprising salary between $4,769.60- $5,132.40 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Fixed term temporary full time position available for six months).
