Racing Australia Limited | Assistant Trainer

Sutton Racing is looking for an Assistant Trainer to join the team.
We have recently announced that we are opening up a second location and will be running a stable of 25 out of Flemington.
The successful applicant will be required to work across two locations, Ballarat and Flemington.
Job Role Assist the trainer with the daily running of the stable, implementing exercise routines and schedules Maintaining horse records, following supplement and vet schedules Liase with the Vet and Farrier Co ordinating internal and external transport movements for races, trials and paddock runs Ensuring all ownership communication is regularly attended to The ability to recognise and treat injuries and/or illnesses in horses Stable Representation on Race Day.
Requirements Proven horse handling skills and knowledge, experience is a similar role is essential! Drivers Licence Truck Licence, is desirable but not essential Flexibility with rostering, availabilities for morning, afternoon and weekend shifts Well presented, competent English The ability to manage and lead staff members Sound knowledge of the Australian Rules of Racing Experience with the software Prism.
