Sutton Racing is looking for an Assistant Trainer to join the team.

We have recently announced that we are opening up a second location and will be running a stable of 25 out of Flemington. The successful applicant will be required to work across two locations, Ballarat and Flemington.

Job RoleAssist the trainer with the daily running of the stable, implementing exercise routines and schedulesMaintaining horse records, following supplement and vet schedulesLiase with the Vet and FarrierCo ordinating internal and external transport movements for races, trials and paddock runsEnsuring all ownership communication is regularly attended toThe ability to recognise and treat injuries and/or illnesses in horsesStable Representation on Race Day. RequirementsProven horse handling skills and knowledge, experience is a similar role is essential!Drivers LicenceTruck Licence, is desirable but not essentialFlexibility with rostering, availabilities for morning, afternoon and weekend shiftsWell presented, competent EnglishThe ability to manage and lead staff membersSound knowledge of the Australian Rules of RacingExperience with the software Prism.
