We have a fantastic opportunity at our McNamara Lodge facility at the Meadow Springs Estate in Meadow Springs, Mandurah for an out-of-the-box and forward-thinking Occupational Therapist!
As an Occupational Therapist with RAAFA, you will understand the physical and psycho-social needs and issues of our residents and deliver exceptional care in the way of implementing occupational therapy programs including group and individual activities.
You will also be required to supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and volunteers who are assisting with therapy programs, complete documentation and reporting in relation to this role and communicate with Allied Health and Clinical Teams on the outcome of programs for our residents.

This role as an Occupational Therapist will see you:
Assess the physical and psycho-social functioning of residents Assist in the implementation of therapy programs including group and individual activities Assist in assessing resident's needs and preferences and help develop appropriate programs in relation to the individual Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and volunteers who are assisting with the program Complete documentation and reporting in relation to the role Communicate with Allied Health and Clinical teams on the outcome of programs for the residents.

Join our team as an Occupational Therapist at our McNamara Lodge.
The beautifully refurbished 96-bed Residential Care Centre offers both permanent and respite care along with comprehensive activity programs to ensure our residents keep their bodies and minds active day-to-day.
Located in the heart of the RAAFA retirement village in the southern suburb of Meadow Springs, Mandurah, our homely bedrooms have direct access to landscaped gardens and pathways where you can take a stroll, relax, and enjoy the fresh air.
With luscious plant-filled atriums located throughout the lodge, this is a truly stunning place to work!

About you:
Possess a Bachelor's or Masters in Occupational Therapy Current AHPRA Registration Previous experience working in Residential Aged Care.
Ability to work autonomously and with a multidisciplinary team.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to relate to the elderly with empathy and understand their needs.
Demonstrate flexible decision making and advanced problem solving skills.
Excellent time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise work tasks.
Enjoy building positive relationships with residents, their families and staff.
