Permanent full-time opportunity responsible for the management, coordination, and delivery of specialised health programs through the Better Together Health Van (BTHV).

About the role Permanent full-time opportunity responsible for the management, coordination, and delivery of specialised health programs through the Better Together Health Van (BTHV).
About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Manage the operations of the BTHV, ensuring the effective delivery of health services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Brisbane North and other locations based on need.Develop operational program plans, identify performance indicators, monitor health programs, and establish evaluation processes for health services provided through the BTHV.Ensure the efficient allocation and management of resources, staffing, and logistics to deliver health programs effectively.Coordinate and deliver culturally safe, holistic health care services that are responsive to the cultural, spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.Provide direct clinical services, including intake assessments, health checks, immunisations, and opportunistic screening for preventable diseases.Health Equity It is expected that all Metro North Health staff, including the incumbent of this role as a valuable member of the Metro North workforce, contribute to the health equity agenda and meet the intent of supporting the defined six actions that specifically meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS), by actively supporting the elimination of racial discrimination and institutional racism; supporting increased access to healthcare; influencing the social, cultural, and economic determinants of health; supporting the delivery of sustainable, culturally safe and responsive health services; and recognising the importance of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities, and organisations to design, deliver, monitor, and review the health and support services we provide.
